چکیده

Abstract High speed data transmissions are required for the next generation mobile communication systems. However, broadband mobile channel is composed of many propagation paths with different time delays, producing severe frequency-selective fading channel. Recently, multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) has been attracting much attention for the broadband wireless access in the next generation mobile communications systems. MC-CDMA can exploit the channel frequency-selectivity to achieve the frequency diversity effect and improve the transmission performance. Transmit/receive antenna diversity is well-known for further improving the transmission performance. In this paper, we propose a new transmit/receive antenna diversity technique in which the equalization processing for transmission and reception can be implemented at the one transmit/receive side, and the BER performance is evaluated by the computer simulation. Space-frequency Block Coded-joint Transmit/receive Diversity for Multi-carrier Transmission

Space-frequency block coded transmit diversity (SFBC) is under intensive study to improve the transmission performance of multi-carrier transmission in a frequencyselective fading channel. However, in the conventional SFBC, the transmission efficiency degrades when more than 3 transmit antennas are used. Recently, we proposed a spacetime block coded-joint transmit/receive antenna diversity (STB...

Joint Transmit/Receive MMSE-FDE for Analog Network Coded Single-Carrier Bi-directional Multi-Antenna Relay

In this paper, joint transmit/receive frequency-domain equalization (FDE) is proposed for analog network coded (ANC) singlecarrier (SC) bi-directional multi-antenna relay. In the proposed scheme, diversity transmission using transmit FDE is performed at relay station (RS) equipped with multiple antennas while receive FDE is carried out at base station (BS) and mobile terminal (MT) both equipped...

Channel Capacity of Distributed Antenna Network Using Transmit/Receive Diversity in a Multi-cell Environment

Distributed antenna network (DAN) is a promising wireless network which can mitigate the impacts of distancedependent/shadowing losses and fading.
